About the speaker

Rick Spicer is an Arkansas native and a lifelong visitor and defender of wild places, who has spent his entire life helping customers, clients, family, and friends do the same.

Spicer is one of the owners of the Pack Rat Outdoor Center in Fayetteville and has worked there since 1999. Previously Rick served as an AMGA climbing instructor and worked for Boulder Outdoor Survival School in Southern Utah. He currently serves on the boards of directors for the Northwest Arkansas Land Trust and Arkansas Backcountry Hunters & Anglers.

Rick graduated from the University of Arkansas with a B.S. in Environmental Soil & Water Science and is a wilderness first responder.
