Nicole Jones

Nicole Jones is a people-first cultivator with a proven record of creating safe spaces and structural change for justice. Her steadfast presence, commitment to self and community love, compassion, and respect show up in her work across the greater Richmond region, particularly as Deputy Director of ART 180.

Nicole’s passion for power, healing, and truth shines bright in her work with the community in numerous ways, big and small. She is a uniquely experienced leader and connector of relationships across different sectors. Nicole is invested in identifying problems, elevating opportunities, and responding with timely solutions. She asks thought-provoking questions to help people and organizations understand and implement the change they want to see. This makes Nicole Jones one of the most effective collaborators in Richmond—a natural visionary with high energy and dedication. Known as a detail-oriented planner and strategic thinker, she is often tapped for planning and advisory capacities for some of the most progressive non-profits in the area.

As Deputy Director, Nicole is responsible for donor development and retention, special events, programs incorporating Restorative Justice practices, and operations management. Her resilience and leadership stem from her belief that lived experiences can drive action and advance equity, diversity, and inclusion practices in fundraising, education, and local government. Nicole is an empathetic and dedicated community organizer with a deep passion for helping others. Her greatest impact has been her systems thinking approach, where she has been responsible for creating and implementing new community-building and engagement strategies.
