Sam Kirby is a Toowoomba-based creative with a deep appreciation for culture, design and community. As owner and editor of The Field Guide Toowoomba, he leads a publication dedicated to uncovering the stories that shape regional life.
Working across editorial, live events and community activations, Sam is passionate about creating platforms that spotlight local talent and encourage people to see their own city differently. He is also the founder of The Field Game, a large-scale, city-wide experience that transforms public spaces into something playful and unexpected — inviting thousands of participants to explore, connect and engage with their community in new ways.
Through both storytelling and shared experience, Sam’s work reflects a belief that regional culture is not something to observe from a distance, but something to step into.
