Sergio Canavero

Sergio Canavero (born 1964) is an Italian prominent neuroscientist and neurosurgeon, former professor, founder and director of TANG - Turin Advanced Neuromodulation Group. Canavero is universally known for the Heaven / Gemini - Head Transplantation project: over the past 30 years he indeed focused on making the first human head transplantation possible throughout the spinal cord fusion. Canavero is author together with Edoardo Rosati of "Head Transplantation and the Quest for Immortality" (trad. it. "Il cervello immortale", Sperling & Kupfer, Milano 2015).
