Soft with Karina Henwood

The ForeFront

part of a series on Soft

About the speaker

Karina is the creator of Mud 2 Mug and More, a pottery studio in Carina that invites everyone to unleash their own inner artist!

Karina is a born teacher who throughout life has found herself in positions where she's teaching what she loves. At one point, it was High School teaching for 8 years, but now after the many changes of Covid, she's opened her buzzing pottery studio!

Karina is here to remind us that softness isn’t just a material you mould, it’s a mindset you choose. Her take on the theme stretches far beyond pottery - inviting us to rethink 'soft' as a strength!

Additional details

September’s global theme is SOFT!

“What if our work was softer? What would we make with a little tenderness? Art that truly resonates. Innovations that heal instead of harm. Communities that hold one another instead of tearing other people down.

Soft can be a quiet form of resistance. Practice subtlety, trust, and intimacy in a world that celebrates loud braggadocio, knee-jerk reactions, and blunt force. Soft can be our salvation.”
