Just because you are good at something doesn’t mean that’s what you have to do with your life.

About the speaker

Stacy is a Vietnamese American illustrator, designer, and brander who works at her own collaborative with her buddies. She loves creating work that explores cultural identity, the ways we are idiosyncratic, the ways we are tragic, the ways we laugh, and the life experiences that we carry forward.

Through her business, she mostly works with BIPOC-centered and BIPOC-led grassroots community organizations in racial justice spaces like Community-Centric Fundraising, Communities Rise, The Wing Luke Museum, Ada Developers Academy, Friends of Little Sai Gon, and more. She has also created work for brands like Subaru, Dr. Martens, T-Mobile, Red Boat Fish Sauce, and others.

In a past life, she was kind of a legit journalist and news editor. She has worked for Northwest Asian Weekly, and her writing has appeared in South Seattle Emerald, Eater Seattle, and the Seattle Times. These days, she writes a frivolous pop culture column called Nguyeners and Losers for Joy Sauce.
