Alif loves to draw and roller skates. You can find me riding the bus to watch people and eavesdrops inspirations. But lately, I’ve been spending my time at the rink doing some spins or draw people who skates.
Ready to see eye to eye with your kindred spirits?
We’ll do what’s called Sightless Drawing or Contour Drawing.
All you need is something to draw on and something to draw with (even your digital tools!). This is more of an exercise in seeing than drawing. All levels, even total beginners, can join!
Please note: This FieldTrip is HIGHLY Interactive and includes mandatory Breakout Rooms. If you are not up for meeting and chatting with new folks, it will not be the right FieldTrip for you!
We will warmed up with sightless drawing some basic shapes & self portraits.
I highly recommend to open your camera, but you can prepare a mirror if you’re shy.
We won’t be allowed to peek down at our paper until we finished drawing.
After getting the hang of it, let’s do a breakout room session. You’ll be paired randomly and spend a few minutes drawing, and get to know each other. You blink, you lose! It’s a staring contest, remember?
