About the speaker
Stefano Bonetti is a physicist, researcher and entrepreneur based in Venice, where he serves as Professor of Experimental Physics at Ca’ Foscari University and co-founder and president of RARA Factory.
RARA Factory is a deep-tech startup developing sustainable alternatives to rare earth materials - critical components widely used in renewable energy systems, electric mobility, electronics, and advanced technologies. Combining physics-driven artificial intelligence with experimental materials science, the company accelerates the discovery of new materials that are more abundant, accessible, and environmentally sustainable.
The startup emerged as a spin-off of Ca’ Foscari University and has quickly gained attention for its innovative approach to reducing dependence on critical raw materials through science, AI, and high-throughput experimentation.

Ferramenta Trevissoi is a historic family-owned hardware store located in the heart of Venice, just a few steps from St. Mark’s Square.
Operating in the same location since 1899 and managed by the Luppi family since 1964, the shop has long been a trusted resource for both Venetians and professionals working in the city.
