When things feel messy, when conversations go in circles, or when decisions feel heavy, I create space for the truth to be spoken safely, so a way forward can emerge.

I help people and groups find clarity when things feel stuck. I work with couples, families, teams, and leaders to transform tension into honest conversation, better decisions, and stronger connection.

The heart of my work is simple. I help every voice be heard, especially the quieter, less popular, or more easily dismissed ones, because that is often where the missing information lies. Drawing on more than 20 years of training in Lewis Deep Democracy, I help uncover the deeper currents that create stagnation or disagreement so relationships and teams can move forward with more honesty, inclusion, and creativity.

This work has taken me into homes, classrooms, clinics, and boardrooms across multiple countries and cultures, and the pattern is consistent. When people feel heard, movement becomes possible.

About this FieldTrip

When we feel stuck, it is often because different parts of us are pulling in different directions. One part of us wants one thing, and another part of us wants something else. The usual approach is to flip-flop with the different views, try to push through, or avoid the tension. This FieldTrip offers an unusual but practical and powerful alternative, the kind you can use again and again, in real life, with real decisions.

You will be guided through a three-step Lewis Deep Democracy style internal debate to come up with a decision that draws on your deeper wisdom and enables you to commit to and action next steps.

Agenda

  • Pick a real, medium-stakes decision that matters. This hour is about making peace with your different inner voices and turning inner tension into a clear next step.

  • We name what “stuck” tends to look like: the loop of second-guessing, forcing, avoiding, or outsourcing your decision to other people’s opinions.

  • Then you will get a short intro to LDD, and why the wisdom is often hiding inside the “NO.” You will be guided through three simple steps in an LDD Internal Debate.

  • As a result of the process, you will be in a better position to make a decision and create one actionable next step you can carry out. Quick Q&A, then close.

What to know or bring

  • Bring a pen and paper, or have a place where you can journal or jot down a few learnings, reflections, and or insights.

  • Pick one real, medium-stakes decision important enough to matter, not so huge it overwhelms you.

What to expect

Workshop format!

A hands-on session where participants get to build, craft, or create something tangible.

It will be recorded!

The recording will be shared within 24 hours in the follow up email for a 4-day window, and available at the top of this page. Make sure to register for access!

How to make the most of FieldTrips

The FieldTrips experience is defined not only by what the host has to share, but also by how we show up individually and collectively. The way we show up impacts our capacity to be moved, inspired, and activated.

Show up fully

Get ready to be immersed! Engage with smiles, nods, waves, emojis. Share in the chat. Get cozy. Turn off notifications. Sip your favorite beverage.

Stay curious

Wear your beginner’s hat. Go with the flow. Welcome the stumbles and fumbles. Congratulate yourself for trying. Keep going!

Celebrate your host

Our hosts are members of the CreativeMornings community—just like you! Everyone comes to this with different backgrounds—a lot of our hosts have never done anything like this before! And we love that! Cheer them on when something goes awry and when it goes perfectly.

Support each other

We’re all figuring things out in real time. Celebrate, rather than critique emerging ideas. Cheer each other on as you try new things.  Try “Yes! And…” in conversation.

Not vibing?

It’s 100% okay when a FieldTrip does not resonate with you. Pop out quietly and try another experience later. Fill out the survey with your feedback (no dms to host or chat commentary, please.)
