Studio Magazine

Studio Magazine launched earlier this month after making its first appearance at We Can Create in August. Published quarterly, a selection of design and artist studios from around the world are asked to present a photo essay that explores their work space and gives readers an insight into the environment that inspires the work created there. Issue one features Studio Alexander (Auckland), Landor (Paris), Pentagram (Texas), and Sagmeister Inc. (New York), to name a few. The Designers Institute of New Zealand (DINZ) have supported the project, eager to encourage local design initiatives since the retirement of ProDesign. With a distributor recently secured, Studio looks set to take on the world.

Zoe Ikin, Clem Devine and Sam Trustrum are the editors and designers behind Studio Magazine. On top of the magazine, they are each attracting a lot of buzz around their own side-projects and careers. Zoe has a beautiful range of silver jewellery sold through fashion store World and online design store Endemic; Sam is a judge in this year's Best Awards; and Clem was recently named as one of the ADC Young Guns.
