About the speaker
Jason owns VIA Studio, a marketing & digital firm that serves an international roster of clients. VIA Studio specializes in brand strategy, design, web development, and marketing. VIA Studio continues to evolve as the industry changes fast. Their most recent case studies can be seen at via.studio/work.
Jason was also a founding partner of the WHY Louisville store, and currently is co-owner of two property management companies alongside his wife of 15 years.
In the early 90's he was part of Louisville's infamous hardcore music scene, designing punk rock flyers, playing drums in various bands and "singing" in a grindcore band. Later in the 90's and into the 00's, he became a DJ, electronic music producer, and rave promoter. He has stayed involved in the electronic music scene since then, hosting events and performing. During the COVID lockdowns, he founded TRANSMIT Productions with Trevor Lamont, Tim Helfrich, and Ryan Powell, which has been hosting virtual dance parties every other week for over a year now. Their first in-person event, HELLHOUSE, will be held October 30 at Art Sanctuary, with talent from around the globe. Jason was also assisting behind-the-scenes during the incarnations of Lebowski Fest and Forecastle Festival as those festivals rose to international prominence.
When Jason has time for hobbies, he travels the world. Most recently, he spent 3 weeks working VERY remote in Croatia and Greece (article here).
He’s been recognized with the AIGA Visionary Award, as Business First Louisville’s One of 20 People to Know in Advertising, and with a Five Star Service Award from American Advertising Federation, Louisville chapter.
"He must be doing something right."
