On Friday, September 2, Charlottean and NoDa Brewing Company co-founder and co-owner, Suzie Ford, spoke on the topic of “Magic” at CreativeMornings/Charlotte. Her 20-minute talk to the crowd of 270 guests was an insider look into the magical alchemy of brewing award-winning craft beer. Moreover, her story is a reminder that we all have magic brewing within us. The real question is: what do we do once that power is unleashed?
About the speaker
Suzie Ford, along with her husband Todd, opened NoDa Brewing Company in October, 2011 after realizing corporate America wasn’t for them anymore and wanting to be in control of their own destiny. Originally from California, Suzie picked up her young family and moved to Charlotte to continue her banking career -- but as fate would have it, in a good way, switched professions temporarily taking her into the world of sports marketing.
Having now ascending the ranks to become the most liked woman in the NoDa Brewing ownership group, Suzie is a details-oriented free spirit. She is a proud mom, Diet Coke lover, and Top 40 music enthusiast -- boasting a special appreciation for Vanilla Ice and Lady Gaga. Suzie once turned left without using her indicator. But it never happened again.
