This Is NOT A CAT (Probably a Drawing Club)

New York, 10001

About this Club

A Cat (or Not Cat) Drawing Club for People Who Can or Can’t Draw

Because sometimes it’s a cat. Sometimes it’s a blob. Sometimes it’s a metaphor. And that’s kind of the point.

This isn’t about technique. It’s about sitting in a room with real humans, sketching something fuzzy (or not fuzzy) and letting your nervous system unclench a little.

You don’t need skills. You don’t need a portfolio. You don’t even need to like cats that much (although our host absolutely does). Honestly? You can draw whatever you want. A cat. A dog. A creature. A shape that refuses to be defined. We’re not calling the art police.

The only rule is: draw something. Or pretend to.

Bring your chaos. Bring your curiosity. Bring your “I haven’t drawn since middle school” energy. This is a low-pressure, high-vibes, mildly unhinged drawing night for people who just want to exist together and make questionable art.

✨WHAT TO EXPECT

✔️ A relaxed drawing night where perfection is absolutely not required.

✔️ Cats are the general theme—but honestly, draw whatever you want and call it art.

✔️ Good people, questionable drawings, and a room where nobody takes themselves too seriously.

🎒WHAT TO KNOW OR BRING

✔️ Give us a call/text at 9296049192 upon arrival!

✔️ Yourself and your chaotic creative energy

✔️ Optional: a friend, a warm drink, and the confidence to say “yes, that’s a cat”

ABOUT YOUR HOST

Hi! I’m Kai—a tax practitioner and the founder of Nuvex Advisory Partners. Outside of taxes, I’m also the human of a rescue cat named Pico. Pico was adopted, runs the household, and occasionally supervises important things like whether your drawing looks enough like a cat. Through Nuvex, a NYC base tax firm, we partner with local animal charities and donate a portion of our proceeds to support rescue organizations and shelters. And if you ever need a tax professional or accountant, you’re always welcome to reach out! Pico and I will make sure your books are handled properly (though Pico mainly specializes in moral support and sitting on paperwork).
