About the speaker

Travis Winn enjoys building brands that have simple yet compelling stories. After studying business at BYU Travis has helped fund companies like Trimr, Viral, Craft, and Oligie.

What he hopes his is his last start up is Calle.

Inspired by their experiences playing soccer in the streets of Spain, Brazil, Bolivia, and Mexico, a group of college soccer friends bootstrapped Calle in 2006 in a Provo, Utah basement. By 2010, the brand grew to be sold in over 120+ shops across the country but in 2012, after six years of grind, the brand unfortunately had to hang up its boots.

In August 2022, after a decade hiatus, Travis relaunched Calle with the same brand mission: to produce goods for that "play anytime anywhere" crowd. Everyone deserves to play and no sport should know this better than soccer/futbol. No other game on the planet can account for so many cultures coming together. It has that power over all other games.

With Calle, Travis has also started a non-profit on a mission to build publicly available street soccer courts in communities throughout the US. It’s called - Free The Game. Free The Game to date has built 3 courts in St. Louis, 2 in SLC, and the latest in Austin, TX with many more planned for 2025 and the onward.
