CMPB takes a special trip to the Historic Jupiter Inlet Ligthhouse & Museum

On this most beautiful February morning, we explored the waterfront, climbed the 160 year old Lighthouse, brought home native plants and learned that “there is history in Florida before Disney and air conditioning.”

About the speaker

Josh Liller is the Historian and Collections Manager for the Loxahatchee River Historical Society, which operates Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse & Museum. He earned a History B.A. from Florida Atlantic University. Josh co-authored the Revised Edition of Five Thousand Years on the Loxahatchee: A Pictorial History of Jupiter-Tequesta and was editor-contributor for The Florida Lighthouse Trail 2nd Edition. He writes the LRHS Quarterly newsletter and contributes articles to numerous other periodicals include the U.S. Lighthouse Society’s Keeper’s Log magazine.
