“What’s in Your Story Box?”: ‘Segun Olude on Design and Storytelling
‘Segun, originally from Nigeria, is a Graphic Designer, Educator, Storyteller and photography enthusiast. The title of his talk is âWhatâs in Your Story Boxâ and heâll be sharing how he has used design and storytelling to preserve the Yoruba language â for language holds folklore, the stories of a culture, and folklore is expressed through and embedded in oneâs language.
About the speaker
I'm a graphic designer, educator, and writer. I've developed brands and identities for individuals, businesses, and institutions. I've also written articles and authored a book about Yoruba culture.
As an educator, I've taught courses like Graphic Design Studio, History of Visual Communication, and Design Theory and Criticism, and presented to professionals and students across Nigeria and around the world.
