The 5Rhythms practice invites everyone to stop thinking about water… and become it.

In this 5Rhythms wave, Rui guided the CreativeMornings Lisbon community through all five rhythms — Flowing, Staccato, Chaos, Lyrical, and Stillness — as a somatic companion to Laura’s talk on water consciousness and regenerative design. Forty minutes. One room. Bodies remembering what the mind had just heard. 5Rhythms is a movement practice developed by Gabrielle Roth. It maps the natural frequencies of energy as they move through us — and through everything. In Rui’s words: an invitation to metabolize molecules of reality into movement. To sync the body, heart, and mind into the coherence of the soul. To let the glide turn into glow. Wave after wave. Rhythm after rhythm. Till we become the ocean.

About the speaker

After graduating from the Faculty of Human Kinetics (FMH) in Lisbon, RUI GOMES trained with renowned 5Rhythms creator, Gabrielle Roth, in Big Sur, California. After receiving Gabrielle’s blessing, Rui brought her 5Rhythms Waves and Workshops to Portugal and France.

5Rhythms is a simple, but profound and meditative practice that ignites creativity and sparks connection through embodied movement. Following the 5Rhythms “map," we navigate a Wave that takes us through 5 distinct musical and kinetic rhythms. They are: Flowing, Staccato, Chaos, Lyrical, and Stillness.

By allowing the wisdom of our bodies to freely dance our inner story, we awaken an authentic, vulnerable and passionate, instinctive self. With the guidance of a facilitator, each Wave leads us toward our own inner Rhythms of Being. Through an alchemy of sensitivity and intensity, rooted in nature and enriched by symbols, Rui invites truth-in-motion to renew your sense of wonder.

“As on the dance floor, so in life.”
