山本晃久Yamamoto Akihisa

9月21日午前9時、山本合金製作所を訪問します。山本合金製作所は、日本で唯一、手作り の神聖な鏡、日本の伝統的な鏡、マジックミラー(魔鏡)を製造している会社です。 山本 晃久がどのようにしてこの伝統工芸を守り続けているのか、マジックミラー作りの秘密に ついて一緒に学びましょう。 グーグル・アーツ・アンド・クラフツ(Google Arts and Crafts)の興味深い展覧会では、「日本文化の中で、鏡は最も強力な権力の象徴のひとつ であり、神々を象徴する神聖なものとして崇められている。 しかし、明治時代(1868- 1912)になると、ヨーロッパ風のガラス鏡が普及したため、青銅鏡は次第に使われなく なり、鏡作りを専門とする金工職人も姿を消していった。 銅鏡の生産が続いたのは、神 社仏閣のおかげである。 そして今、山本合金製作所がそれを守り、未来へとつなげてい る。 On September 21st at 9:00 am, we will visit Yamamoto Gokin Seisakusho, the only company in Japan that produces hand-made sacred mirrors, Japanese traditional mirrors and magic mirrors (makyō). Join us in learning how Yamamoto Akihisa keeps this traditional craft alive and the secret behind magic mirror making. An interesting exhibition on Google Arts and Crafts explains “Within Japanese culture, mirrors are one of the most potent symbols of power, revered as sacred objects representing the gods. Mirrors are also admired as artistic objects, as they have intricate pictorial designs on their backs” However, during the Meiji period (1868–1912), European-style glass mirrors became popular so bronze mirrors gradually fell out of use and metalsmiths specializing in mirror making also began to disappear. It was thanks to shrines and temples that the production of bronze mirrors continued. Today, Yamamoto Gokin Seisakusho is now keeping it alive and bringing it to the future.
