Yonnas Getahun

I am a media artist, a poet and an independent curator. I bridge communities... whether they are of Visual & Literary Artists, Community-Activists, or Art Patrons. In the last three years I have launched, curated, and co-founded numerous projects, events and experiments. Specifically setting out to solve shared problems, to inspire discourse of the mundane, and to encourage self-expression; I frequently collaborate with creatively brilliant minds, apply beneficial aspects of tech start-up models to further the cause, and take on the non-artsy tasks of hiring, contracting, and managing finances. December 2016, I published my book of poetry titled, “I Hung Myself on the Moon.”
