We had a blast at the CM Summit at the beginning of the month. It was so well planned, easy going, and we learned a ton. One of the highlights was a talk by the one and only Debbie Millman. We love her matter of factness, and the way she combines that honesty with her creativity.

Debbie gave a talk at CreativeMornings/NYC a couple of years ago called The Top 10 Things I Wish I Knew When I Graduated College. Her talk at the CM Summit was an add on to that previous talk, with 10 more things she wish she new. We thought they were great, and hope you enjoy her 10 more things, too!

10 More Things Debbie Wish She Knew:

1. If you aren’t making mistakes, you aren’t taking enough risks.
2. Expect anything worthwhile to take a long time.
3. Work very, very hard.
4. You will work as hard at something you hate as something that you love.
5. Ask for opportunities. Don’t wait for things to happen to you.
6. Finish what you start.
7. Busy is a decision.
"You don’t find time, you make the time." - Maria Popova
8. Confidence is overrated.
“Courage is more important than confidence” - Dani Shapiro
9. Be aware of who you’re doing things for.
10. Learn and build from your rejections. It is only a failure if you accept defeat.
