For those of you who missed the first CreativeMornings/Milwaukee event, we’re recapping it here.

Our September speaker was Reginald Baylor, speaking spontaneously about “Color.” He had some surprises for the audience, like when we asked him if all colors are equal. He answered an emphatic “No! Grey is the most supreme of all the colors.” If you’ve seen his work, it’s not easy to understand why, but there is a hint in the notes below. We’ll post the video recap and photographs soon. 

Most remarkable to the CreativeMornings/Milwaukee team, was the incredible show of support from the community. Tickets quickly sold-out before the event. Holey Moley teamed with Hawthorne Coffee and sent baristas to do pour over coffee. Community members brought their talents too.

Timothy J. Reynolds made these sweet sketch notes of the first ever CreativeMornings in Milwaukee. He captured the major themes and quotable moments from Baylor's talk with visual panache to boot. Thank you!
