Semi-Permanent 2014

Our mates at Semi-Permanent are celebrating 10 years of bringing together a brilliantly eclectic selection of the most joyously creative minds you might ever meet, and putting them up on the same stage over two exceptional days.

On 2/3 May it’ll be Auckland’s turn to party, and the team behind the event have put together an impressive line up for their 10th birthday.

Check out our picks for the conference below, and grab your tickets quick smart. There’s a 20% Discount for the first 50 registrations to use the code “yummy2014”.

Nat Cheshire

Nat was one of our favourite (and best dressed) speakers from the 2013 CMAkl season as he talked about his mission to shape Auckland into an exciting and engaging space. We can’t wait to hear how he’s progressing.

Nikki Caro

Internationally renowned for her films Whale Rider, North Country and The Vintner’s Luck Nikki Caro is one of the country’s creative heavyweights, which is especially impressive when you consider film is a medium in which she was largely self-taught.

Mike Mizrahi

Creative Director at Inside Out Productions, Mike regularly leads projects with casts of over a thousand, and has worked with orchestras and rock bands, staged events in shipping dry docks, flooded Town Squares and bespoke structures.

Golan Levin

From the worlds of art and engineering, and the fabulous spaces where those disciplines collide Golan’s work is fascinating, a series of revolutionary interactive installations that use robotics, software, and cognitive research to challenge the way people thought about the evolution of ideas and imagery. Check out his TED talk, ‘Art That Looks Back At You' which has gathered 640,000 views, for a preview.
