Morning Person: Meet Erica
We have an amazing team of volunteers and partners who help us make CreativeMornings happen every month. We think they’re super cool and you should totally meet them.
This week: Meet Erica from Little Lot, a cool new social movement on a mission to turn the millions of smartphones and computers in the world into a giant fundraising mechanism for charity!
- Who are you?
Erica Grace McQueen (the first) - How are you involved with CreativeMornings Auckland?
Little Lot has a close relationship with the team at CMAkl and Curative. Little Lot is a cool new form of digital advertising with a socially responsible twist – and it has the perfect audience for CMAkl. So we hook them up with a monthly piece of promotion for CMAkl. Their design is always top notch which is perfect for our channel as we try to keep our content super nice.
- What gets you up in the morning?
Photography, music, going to gigs and photographing them. I’m the content manager at Little Lot – it’s awesome knowing I’m doing my little bit of good everyday by working for this social enterprise. I also love eating and sleeping! - What’s a surprising fact about you?
I studied Automotive Mechanics at High School and I love handshakes. - What is your favourite thing about Auckland?
The Music Scene, the diversity and sheer number of gigs! Love the amount of venues that support the up and comers. - Best breakfast you’ve ever had?
I love leftover Apple Crumble with Cream. Also there’s nothing quite like cold, char-grilled, cooked-on-a-BBQ toast at Easter Camp. - Favourite CreativeMornings Auckland so far?
I’m a newbie so haven’t been to heaps! But I loved Tanja Jade a.k.a Misery. Her story, her passion and her art is inspiring. She’s not afraid to be herself and I love that she does community art. - Favourite CM Quote?
Erica and the Little Lot crew are celebrating their official launch with Lots of Littles, an awesome competition that promises an absolutely massive prize pool (including a VIP CMAkl season pass!).
To enter, all you need to do is download the Little Lot app for your desktop and mobile.
