Our IcebreakerTags question on Broken chosen by speaker this month’s speaker Leo Yip. A: Bones, hearts, promises or maybe mum’s favourite vase?
This months theme ‘Broken’ was selected by the Washington chapter. Washington, DC has always been a fertile ground for musical innovation, with a number of homegrown musical genres like the regional form of funk called Go-Go & the 1980’s hardcore punk movement. DJ Jim Q has included examples of both genres on the track list. As you would expect, stories of heart-break, broken promises, and damaged goods also fill the playlist.
