CreativeMornings BTV is very excited to announce our next breakfast lecture. On Friday, May 17th, in the showcase theater of Vermont Comedy Club we will be hosting a very special speaker! The theme for May is VIBRANT 🎨

Meet Anne Meredith, a Burlington-based artist & muralist. From large scale flora + fauna to 3-dimensional dioramas on Church St. —Anne creates imaginative murals and artwork that bring personality to brands and magic to homes. Anne believes that every space can be a work of art, and loves working with clients to find the best way to realize their design dreams.

Usually, Anne can be found making happy messes in her studio or up a ladder painting. When she’s not creating art, Anne loves roller skating, baking, and diving into murder mysteries 🛼

CreativeMornings BTV is BACK! Friday, April 12 from 8:30-10am at @happyplacevt inside @vermontcomedy. April’s theme is SPICY and our speaker will be Isa DeMarco! 🌶️🔥

Isa is an interdisciplinary designer, informed by research and staying curious. Isa appreciates outside perspectives and deeply values diversity. As a visual designer, they feel it is their responsibility to utilize their skills as an agent of change. Isa’s motto is “design with intention.”

Rory Shamlian is a ceramic artist and lighting expert based in Burlington. At Rory Pots, she designs and creates hand-made functional and sculptural ceramic forms for the home including lighting pieces, kitchenware, and objects. Her relationship with ceramics began as a source of grounding during the deep winters of Vermont and quickly became an all-consuming study of design and craft. Rory’s work is influenced by experiences we each hold as humans - the connection, the fatigue, the desire - through contemporary interpretations of the bygone eras of design.

Meet Christine Tyler Hill aka Tender Warrior Co. a local illustrator, designer, and short form content creator exploring what interests her most:

🌎 The natural world + conservation
⚒️ Community building + alternative economies
🚨 Local political systems + civic engagement
🚲 Bicycling + alternative transportation
🏔️ Outdoor adventure + recreation

Christine’s creative work is motivated by rage at the injustice and violence plaguing our society, and also by a deep-seated belief that not only is a better future possible, but that we’re building it together every day.Ultimately, Christine wants to help people fall in love with the world. She combines 15 years of experience in strategic mission-driven communications with her love of illustration and content creation to tell compelling stories that drive social change.

Raphaella Brice is a self-taught queer haitian-american digital illustrator. Raph is made of the following ingredients: a dash of glitter, salt, and jiwof (meaning cloves in creole), sky miles, a whole lotta queerness, sassy twitter fingers, disco fever, a heaping amount of creative and cosmic energy, and love… Raph’s art celebrates the human consciousness shift that is currently happening in the world today.

Most recently, Raph has created the Fletcher Free Library’s Black Madonna mural, Burlington Discover Jazz Fest’s 40 year anniversary artwork featuring Lakecia Benjamin, and is this year’s SEABA Art Studio Resident. Raph’s media of choice includes; psychedelic vector art illustration, graphic design and murals.

Meet Charlotte Dworshak, a Vermont-based artist and photographer living and working in Burlington’s South End Arts District. Charlotte is endlessly inspired by Vermont’s ever-evolving landscape & New England’s oceanic shores. Discover multi-layered paintings in acrylic on paper, canvas, and wood panels. Meet Clay Mohrman, a Burlington-based lighting designer, sculpture artist & driftwood collector. Discover the captivating world of lighting design as it intertwines with the enchanting allure of driftwood. Like buried treasure washed ashore, each weathered piece of driftwood carries a unique story, whispering tales of distant lands and untold adventures. Clay hunts down these hidden gems and transforms them into mesmerizing lighting fixtures, radiating a warm glow that illuminates both space and imagination. Like uncovering buried treasure, encountering a piece by Clay ignites a sense of awe and discovery.
