Ok, here we go. Meet Michael. He is the CreativeMornings/Cologne host.

And here are three questions to him:

You have a background in Computer Science. Today you are a successful presentation coach. Talk about taking a u-turn in life…

Yes, true, by training, I have a Ph.D. in computer science. But having had to suffer through tons of poorly delivered presentations over the years as a student and a researcher, I grew more and more convinced that there must be a better way to talk to your audience through presentations. I have never settled to accept that bad communication stands in the way of spreading great ideas. Consequently, I started my own design agency for presentation conception, design and training. Now I am helping my clients tell their stories through great presentations to engage their audience.

Why did you want to bring CreativeMornings to Cologne?

I believe that stories worth telling need to be told, simple as that. I believe that sticking to business as usual sets us back. And I believe that learning from others makes us better. That’s why I love the CreativeMornings format, as it offers a platform to get your ideas out there and discuss with others face to face what you are passionate about.

What will make CreativeMornings/Cologne great?

Cologne has a million stories, a million thoughts and a million ideas to share. We are Germany’s fourth biggest city and we are home to numerous innovative start-ups as well as countless communication, design and media agencies, art fares, festivals and museums. Several art and design schools add to our city’s creative buzz. We also pride ourselves in being one of Germany’s cultural hotspots hosting a lively media community including many radio and TV stations. In a nutshell: Cologne is a playground worth playing on.
