For our 42nd Creative Mornings in Chicago, we invited the witty Kevin Lynch to chime in on our Revolution series. Not only was his talk jam-packed with hilarious stories from his self-initiated projects, he also shared many poignant, yet often overlooked, truths. Kevin continued to remind us that if you look too far ahead in life you’ll ruin the surprise. Wherever you are, dig in and look around for crissakes. Just one of the universal gems I took super personally at the @chicago_cm talk by Kevin Lynch of @yearbnb. In the nutters days before uprooting to the underside of the Earth, there are a million big & little things that have to get done. This, though, was equally critical to our preparation and I’m so glad we went. Articulating an approach to living that believes in adventure and celebrates the ordinary in equal measure? He’s so damn good at that. This was an affirmation of the alchemy of silly happenstance and intentional effort that result in a life well lived. #cmtakeaways

Amazing presentation by Kevin Lynch. In addition to the awesome throwback green toilet seat in the picture, I heard about lessons he learned when doing his yearbnb project. Loved learning from the guy who created the Chicagoans for Rio campaign and how to deal with positive (and negative) feedback. Do things that take you out of your comfort zone!
