Truth

November’s theme is TRUTH; and who better to share their thoughts on truth than an American? ;-)

Ashley Matthäus (US-American and Freiburg local) is excited, honored, and amused to have been chosen as a speaker this month.

Interestingly enough, truth, in English, is defined as both ‘that which is true or in accordance with fact or reality’ and 'a fact or belief that is accepted as true’. Truth would be translated as ‘Wahrheit’ in German, however the German definition of ‘Wahrheit’ does not seem to be as broad as its English counterpart.

Bearing this in mind, we want to explore what truth means to us culturally and identify some key differences to something commonly coined as universal.
