March’s theme is CORRUPTION.
Unser Thema für März ist “Korruption” (Veranstaltungssprache ist Englisch).

Corruption is a spectrum; it can start innocently, like favoring someone you know over someone you don’t, but it can also grow to overshadow fair play, equal opportunity, and even justice. It exists everywhere - in nearly every aspect of life, including technology.

In this morning talk, Oluchi Ibeneme explores corruption in artificial intelligence (AI) from the angle of bias and asks the question, What is our responsibility in creating and interacting with this seemingly impartial technology?

Oluchi Ibeneme is a ‘Third Culture Kid’ who would describe her place of origin as being from everywhere and nowhere but for official reasons is an Indian citizen. Sunnier weather pulled her to Freiburg in 2022 from Brittany where she completed her master’s in machine learning. Since then, she has been working at Jedox and is responsible for implementing various AI enhancements to Jedox’s software. During her time off, she enjoys baking, video games and Latin dancing and is always down to cafe hop in search of the best cup of tea.

Join us on Friday, March 17th at 8am at the Carl-Schurz-Haus in Freiburg to learn more and be a part of the conversation.

March’s theme CORRUPTION was chosen by the Creative Mornings Monterrey chapter and its theme has been illustrated by Violeta Hernández.
