This month’s CreativeMornings JLM speaker is Ayelet Batist.
On the topic of “Compassion”, Ayelet will speak about design as a vocation, not just a Design Thinking tool. Sharing a personal journey that started with meeting the “guru of compassion” in India and continued to some unexpected understandings about the meaning of design, she hopes to explain how being exposed to both eastern philosophy and some modern research has influenced her design philosophy and career decisions.
The talk will be more personal, and more about “meta-design” than about design approaches or case studies.
Ayelet is a creative leader, UX consultant and mentor. Combining her expertise in crafting digital products, from branding and strategic product design to coding and UX & UI design, Ayelet founded and managed the creative team at Lightricks where they went on to design award winning mobile apps. She is the founder of an events series that encourages designers and developers to assist NGOs with achieving amplified digital presence. Ayelet is passionate about design, human cognition, and digital experiences, and is on the constant lookout for practices that combine all three. Recently Ayelet took on the product lead at GlucoMe.
