Announcing Our Next CreativeMornings Speaker and Some Exciting Press Coverage

Hey CreativeMornings MRY family! We’re excited to announce our next speaker: the multi-talented Eli Woolery! 🎉✨

About Eli Woolery

Eli Woolery is an author, speaker, and designer who wears multiple creative hats. As a cornerstone at Stanford University’s d.school since 2013, he has co-taught the two-quarter capstone class “Implementation” for senior undergraduate Product Design students. Beyond academia, Eli is also the co-host of the Webby-nominated Design Better Podcast, where he and Aarron Walter have had the privilege of interviewing some of the most influential creative minds out there: think Tony Fadell (co-inventor of the iPhone and iPod), John Maeda, Debbie Millman, and even the legendary John Cleese. Currently, Eli is diving into a new series about the creative process, featuring an awesome lineup like David Sedaris, Ed Catmull, OK Go, and more.

But wait, there’s more! He’s also the author of several books, including the “Design Thinking Handbook,” a staple in UC Berkeley’s Jacobs Institute for Design and USC’s Graduate School of Business.

When he’s not shaping minds or conversing with creative luminaries, Eli enjoys a serene life in Carmel Valley with his wife, their two kids, and Dot—their tiny but mighty vocal dog. If you’re into surfing or diving in the Monterey Peninsula, you may just bump into him! 🏄‍♂️🌊

A Quick Note on Our Last Meeting

Before we dive into the details of our next meeting, let’s quickly reminisce about our first event, wonderfully summarized in a Monterey County Weekly article.

We’d like to give a huge shout-out to our amazing volunteer Olga for coordinating with Monterey County Weekly for their presence at our last event. Olga, you rock! 🌟
