DONATE GADGETS TO HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS WITH CREATIVEMORNINGS + REVIVN!
As part of this month’s Robot theme, CreativeMornings NYC is excited to partner with our friends at Revivn to collect used gadgets to be donated at our May 8th event with Carla Diana!
Our goal is to collect laptops and small electronics that will be refurbished and provided to high school students participating in The Future Project program, a national campaign to empower young people to live extraordinary lives of passion and purpose. Bonus: We will also reduce our individual carbon footprints through recycling outdated items.
On Friday morning, please bring in any electronics that you are no longer using, whether they are broken or in tip-top shape. Items that are severely damaged or too old for reuse will be recycled responsibly with an e-stewards certified recycler.
Additional information about donating with Revivn below. See you on Friday morning!
Revivn helps enterprises with their old technology by clearing data, recycling, and removing hardware from offices. Revivn takes electronic recycling one step further by repurposing hardware that still has remaining life, providing it to people who lack computer access.
1. What electronics can I (and can’t I) bring on Friday?
You can recycle any electronics that plug into a wall outlet.
Some examples are: laptops, chargers, old phones, cameras, and batteries. Items that will not be accepted include appliances such as toaster ovens, refrigerators, dehumidifiers, microwaves and air conditioners. If you have further questions about what can be brought in, please reach out to concierge@revivn.com
2. What if my device contains sensitive information?
All devices that contain private information will be wiped clean and reset to factory settings. All SIM cards are destroyed for mobile devices.
3. What if I have multiple devices?
High five! The more the merrier. Please bring as many devices as possible.
