Donate Art Supplies for At-Risk Youth with CreativeMornings & Art Start!

As part of this month’s global theme of Collaborate, CreativeMornings/NYC is thrilled to support our friends at Art Start to collect art supplies for their community programs at our event on July 24th with Georg Petschnigg

Founded in 1991, Art Start works to empower New York City’s marginalized youth through creative workshops inside homeless shelters, alternative to incarceration programs, and partnering youth agencies. Through these daily workshops, Art Start collaborates with local teaching artists and educators who volunteer their time and craft to cultivate at-risk youth’s creative energies.

Help us celebrate creative expression as personal empowerment for those in need by donating unused art supplies on Friday. Art Start’s wish-list:

  • Acrylic paint
  • Watercolor paper
  • Small-medium sized canvases and/or canvas boards
  • Colored pencils
  • Watercolor sets
  • Sequins/pipe cleaners/googly eyes/feathers (craft items)
  • Sketchbooks
  • Mason Jars (terrariums and snow globes)
  • White t-shirts (small, medium, and large sizes)
  • Fabric paint
  • Fabric markers
  • Sharpies
