As one of the founding members of Sacramento’s modern creative community, Michael Dunlavey has designed over 500 corporate identity programs in his forty-year career as a graphic designer, environmental designer and as a restaurant designer. He founded The Dunlavey Studio with his wife, Lindy, in 1978 where he served as President and Creative Director.
The ten-person design firm continued to produce award-winning work for the next thirty-three years. The Dunlavey Studio received more than one hundred and fifty national design awards, and their work was featured in publications, including Graphis, Communication Arts, How Magazine, and Architectural Record. Their design work has also been included in countless books published in the United States, Switzerland, and Japan.
After retiring from design, Michael returned to watercolor painting where he draws inspiration from his extensive travel experiences throughout the world. He has demonstrated a deep love for and commitment to the arts community and sat on the Board of Directors of the Crocker Art Museum Association for eleven years the Sacramento Region Community Foundation for ten.

We’ll be showing the beloved Tom Hanks classic, Big. And we’ll have food from @southrestaurant, adult drinks, and some fun snacks available for purchase.

Like our monthly talks, this event will also be free and limited to the first 125 folks who register. When you reserve your spot, you’ll also have the opportunity to make a contribution to CreativeMornings/Sac. 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 Since we’re affiliated with a 501©3 non-profit, your donation may be tax deductible.
