These past few months have seemed like an intense roller-coaster ride of awesomeness. Our first event in January of this year blew the roof off of our expectations and things are only getting better! This month we’re excited to bring in the minds behind Hoodzpah Design Co. to talk about their take on ink, the creative process and what they’re doing within the world of design.

As with all of our speakers, we like to do a little background check on who they are and what they’re doing before introducing them to you, our friends.

Amy Hood is one half of the founding twin freak show that started Hoodzpah. When she is not racking in unsuspecting prey at the pool hall or spewing stats at bar patrons unlucky enough to have cast bad light on the name of Kobe Bryant, Amy is dreaming of motorcycles and classic cars, painting portraits of her misfit band of friends, wailing along to honky tonk love songs, and Instagramming the pants off the world. Don’t let her button nose or pocket-size fool you, that tattoo on her middle finger is real and it can only mean one thing. She is a co-founder of the So.Cal and Brooklyn creative meet up, #ConnectingThings.

Jennifer Hood is a mildly tortured creative based out of Newport Beach, CA. She is the co-founder of creative firm Hoodzpah Art + Graphics with her twin sister Amy Hood. When not scribbling words, doodling lines, or manipulating anchor points, she’s tinkering on a piano, going comatose via Hulu overdose, reading smelling an issue of Esquire on the beach, attempting to hustle pool to no avail, or singing a pitchy rendition of Blondie’s “Heart of Glass” at the local karaoke bar. According to The Velvet Underground, Jenny’s life was saved by rock ‘n’ roll. That’s disputable. She is a co-founder of the So.Cal and Brooklyn creative meet up, #ConnectingThings.
