Get your tickets! This Friday will Remco Pijpers be speaking about how content for children has evolved over the last couple of years. With the introduction of tablet computers, children have come into contact with technology at a much younger age, than for instance 10 years ago. This has had it’s effect on the amount of content directed at children and how we look at digital content for children.
One of his latest projects is Codekinderen (Code Kids), a school method that stimulates kids from the ages 6 till 12 to explore their digital talents. In their own school class the children learn the basics about the “backend” of the digital media and iPads or computers they use every day. It starts with playing games and ends with real coding. The goal of this program is to stimulate creative and logical thinking. And to improve working as a team.
