Merijn Tinga is known as the Plastic Soup Surfer. A surfing biologist and visual artist who became a full time activist. He fights plastic pollution by focussing his campaigns at the source: policy makers and companies.

His spectacular expeditions and record attempts are meant to generate attention for his mission.

With success: his ‘Plastic Soup Surfer resolution’ was the basis for national policy in which we will see deposits on small plastic bottles coming.
