Saskia Ebeli is a Dutch writer and a freelance creative. She investigates the influence of shame and the power this secretive emotion can have over our lives. Saskia is driven by the urge to unmask our most uncomfortable feelings, to be able to grow. Even, or maybe especially, when things go bad.

Last summer, Saskia’s book: Je lijf, je looks, je leven (Uitgeverij Scriptum 2017), was released. It’s the first self-care and lifestyle book for women with cancer. In her book, she promotes information, dignity and self-care as the tools to fight the stigma and shame of this illness.

Saskia debuted as a theatre writer with: Sssst NIET ZINGEN AUB, an interactive multimedia production she developed with singer and performer Lilian Hak. The show was programmed in 2017 by De Parade, Solar Roermond and Valkhof Nijmegen. Saskia was selected for the Rose Stories Kinder Verhalen Traject 2017, and is currently working on a new book.

“Say ‘no’ to most things, and ‘YES!!’ to the few things that matter most.”
