We may love the work we do for its ultimate outcome and product, however, it is quite another, more important, matter to love the work process itself, as that is where will shall spend the majority of our waking hours.
âI donât know if it is possible for activist art to exist. I hope so, but I sometimes feel like just making art is inherently problematic, because usually it is only people of exceptional privilege that are able to make long term, sustainable careers out of being artistsâ especially activist artists. (âŠ) But I also want to make clear that Iâm not saying that activist art is bad in any way. I just think that sometimes it can fail in its intent, because the openness that allows for variety of experiences is not there.â

Great representation by Amanda Fenton for Sam Braddâs talk on Language at Creative Mornings.

Wanted: Like-minded, local companies to partner with #CMVan to host small, monthly âfield tripsâ with 25-50 of our eager, creative community. Could be a demo, tour, workshop, anything as long as it is more creative/educational than sales/promotional. Email vancouver@creativemornings.com if youâre interested with subject âField Tripsâ. (at Vancouver, British Columbia)
