Ben Wieseman, Director of Catalytic Development for REV Birmingham, is responsible for managing REV’s catalytic development team undertaking development projects owned and managed by REV and projects realized in partnership with private developers. He manages REV’s real estate holdings and works closely with its business development team to place clients and new businesses in spaces throughout the City. He manages and participates in projects with public and private entities seeking improvements in the public realm related to public art, infrastructure and real estate development.
Ben holds a master’s degree in Real Estate Development from Auburn University. Ben is a trained and licensed landscape architect in the state of Alabama. In addition Ben is a certified planner with the American Planning Association and holds a certificate with the United States Green Building Council as a LEED AP professional. Ben continues to teach and serve as an adjunct professor for Auburn University along with facilitating charrettes and design meetings across the state. Ben currently serves on the Design Review Board for the City of Birmingham, is a board member for Design Alabama, and serves on several professional chapter leadership positions in the State.
