Professional bio: I am a Board Certified Art Therapist, the Palliative Care Art Therapist at UCHealth Anschutz, an Adjunct Professor at Edinboro University’s graduate art therapy program, and Owner of I Light LLC. I attended Seton Hill University for her Bachelor of Arts in Art Therapy and Mount Mary University for her Master of Science in Art Therapy with a concentration in Counseling. Currently, I am enrolled as a student for my Ph.D in Counseling Education and Supervision at Walden University.
My passions include advocacy, research, and education since I believes they inform one another. Professional service includes being a Board Member for the American Art Therapy Association Research Committee and previous President of the Michigan Association of Art Therapy. Also, currently involved in some research and have been published in the peer reviewed journal of the American Art Therapy Association. Within the field I have presented nationally some include the American Art Therapy Association, Mount Mary Symposium, The Science and Art of Aging, Leading Age, The Texas Art Summit, and several more. I have been published in several articles and was interviewed on WYCE radio, Art Therapy Today, and featured on Fox 17 news for her current international research project, The Traveling Loom. My practice has included working with those living with dementia, mental health, addiction, spiritual growth, hematology, oncology, medical art therapy, palliative care, community-based art therapy practices, and those experiencing trauma and grief. Personal: New to Colorado and love going on adventures and hiking. Of course making art, reading, and spending time with my pup. I also enjoy CrossFit and olympic lifting. Always enjoy going to coffee shops too.
