Sara is passionate about connecting ideas and people to create momentum, whether inside organizations or across Manitoba’s innovation and non-profit communities. She believes meaningful progress comes from asking thoughtful questions, listening well, and simply doing the next right thing. Outside of her consulting work, she invests time in mentorship and community initiatives that create opportunity and elevate others, reflecting her belief that leadership is measured by the doors we open for those around us.

Building alignment between people, purpose, and technology — especially where strategy, change, and emerging tech meet. I’ve spent much of my career working across cybersecurity, sales operations, digital transformation, and now AI readiness, helping organizations make thoughtful decisions that balance innovation with responsibility. I also know a fair bit about bringing people together — whether that’s around a business outcome, a community initiative, or a shared story.

Remembering I don’t have to carry everything myself. I’m naturally curious and action-oriented, which means I sometimes move quickly or take on too much. I’m learning to pause, ask for perspective earlier, and create space for others to shape the path alongside me.

“Do the next right thing.” It keeps me grounded when decisions feel complex or uncertain. You don’t always need the full roadmap, clarity often comes from taking one thoughtful step forward with integrity.

People who quietly build others up: mentors, community leaders, and team members who create opportunity without needing recognition. I’m especially drawn to those who combine competence with humility and use their influence to open doors for others. That kind of leadership leaves a lasting impact.

Connecting dots — between ideas, people, and possibilities. I tend to see patterns and shared purpose across disciplines or communities, and I enjoy helping others recognize where collaboration or alignment can unlock momentum.

Honestly, probably some version of what I’m building toward now: coaching, advising, or teaching. Helping individuals or organizations clarify purpose and translate it into action. If I step outside that lens entirely… I’ve always had a soft spot for community-focused work or environments where people gather and learn together.

Conversations and moments where people felt seen or supported. I may forget small details, but I tend to remember what mattered to someone, what they were working toward, or what they were worried about. Those human threads stick.

How to pause and ask better questions: of a problem, a strategy, or themselves. A simple framework like: What outcome truly matters here? Who is affected that isn’t in the room? What assumptions am I making? What’s one small step forward? You don’t need expertise to start thinking more intentionally, just curiosity and a willingness to reflect.
