Originally from Nashville, TN, I moved to Charleston in 2002. In Nashville I was a professional audio engineer as well as owning and operating a professional recording studio. In 1990 I started producing large commercial Halloween events and by 1997 I was producing the largest Halloween event in the state of Tennessee. In 2004, after moving to Charleston, I started Fright Nights at Boone Hall and grew it to become the largest event in the state of SC by 2011. In addition I produced other large commercial events such as BBQ and Bluegrass Festival, Summer Concerts, and other festivals. In 2015 I stopped producing Fright Nights and other events to focus on developing my newest business venture Smithworks Creative Arts. This business challenges me to stretch all of my creative skills.

I specialize in creating immersive, experiential environments including large commercial haunted attractions. I also specialize in audio and video production, special effects and show control automation systems.

Being a work-aholic

If you have integrity nothing else matters. If you do not have integrity, nothing else matters.

My Grandfather. He was a great man.

Visualizing how to make things happen.

Welfare

Oh yea, wait... I forgot.

That effort is worthless and wasted without results.
