Almu Redondo speaks on “Revival”

About the speaker

Almu Redondo is an Art Director and Production Designer for animated projects.

In 2024 she won an EMMY AWARD for her work in the film Star Wars: Visions. She was awarded Outstanding Individual Achievement in Animation for Best Production Design. Almu also has an Annie Award Nomination for “Best Production Design for a Feature” for the film Belle by Mamoru Hosoda.

Her work also sees her take on the role of Concept Artist for projects in development. Almu collaborates with many directors and their teams helping push the boundaries and exploring new styles. She’s worked with directors such as Tomm More, Ross Stewart and Jorge Gutierrez.

She started her career in film working in VFX as a Matte Painter, Concept Artist, Art Director and Storyboarder in films such as Jason Bourne, Aladdin and Doolittle before moving across to CG and 2D animation.

Almu will be speaking on the theme “Revival”, and how it relates to her life and career choices, living and working in different countries and the risks she’s taken along the way - risks that have seen her work with some of the best global production companies on films such as Star Wars, Jason Bourne, Aladdin, Tales of Runeterra, My Father’s Dragon and Belle.
