Principal of IPS Center for Inquiry speaks to how strong cities build strong schools, and strong schools build strong cities - and our ethical responsibility to support our schools.

About the speaker

Andrea Hunley is the proud principal of an IPS magnet school in the heart of downtown Indianapolis.  She joined Indianapolis Public Schools as a principal in 2012.

Prior to her career as a building administrator, Principal Hunley taught high school English in one of the largest high schools in the state of Indiana. She also served as an assistant principal in an elementary school on the north side of Indianapolis.

Principal Hunley has an administrator's license, a Masters Degree in Language Education, and a Bachelors Degree in Secondary Education from Indiana University. She also holds a license to teach middle and high school English and a license to teach English as a New Language.  

Principal Hunley has presented at the district, statewide, national and international levels, and has been published in educational magazines and featured in educational training videos.
