How we dress is one of our most fundamental modes of expression. Anna Telcs is an artist and designer whose work has been shown in national museums and international festivals including The Guggenheim Museum’s Works and Process performances with Robert Wilson, The Museum of Contemporary Craft in Portland and The Henry Art Museum in Seattle. Anna Telcs is also a veteran of the fashion industry, her work spanning clients as varied as Thom Browne and Microsoft.

Bravely reporting from the center of a venn diagram, Telcs will show how the most desirable objects own the middle ground between art, fashion and design. Using famous and not so famous examples to describe how fashion is always striving to be artistic, how art benefits from being fashionable, and how industrial design would be lost without art or fashion. Touching on both theory and practical advice taken from her own liminal experience, Telcs will discuss how new product development can benefit from cross-pollination and how it is possible to weave a creative career from the threads of all creative interests.
