About the speaker
Chuck has spent over 40 years in the contract office furniture business. First with Haworth, and then with Knoll, arriving in 2001 when he launched izzydesign in Grand Rapids. izzydesign is dedicated to collaboration and creating products for the next generation. izzydesign was named after Chuck's then 3 year old granddaughter izzy. Chuck recently retired as the President of BIFMA.
An early adapter and researcher of human centered design, Chuck continues to try and enhance the knowledge and practice of this important concept.
Chuck has over 20 design and mechanical patents, and izzyplus has received numerous awards for new product designs. The founder, designer, and entrepreneur was also founder of Jump Start, a design and marketing consultancy.
He has been married to his wife Sheri for 46 years, loves to play tennis, share ideas and encourage the practice of design thinking in business.
