About the speaker
Dea Buza is an architect and designer from Prishtina, Kosovo living in Tirana, Albania. She is a creative person with a high dedication and passion for architecture, exhibitions and the connection between architecture and art. After finishing her studies in architecture in Tirana, Albania, she has been engaged in different professional activities ranging from project design, curatorial works for major architectural and art events, research and education. Dea is active in major architectural and art events, both as a participant as well as part of different curatorial and coordination teams, such as ass-curator for the Kosovo Pavilion at the Venice Biennale, part of curatorial team at the Milano Triennale, part of the curatorial and organization team for the Tirana Architecture Weeks and Tirana Design Week. From 2017, Dea and her sister Era, created a small architecture and art design studio focusing on high end small scale projects officializing in January 2021 with an office called apparat studio based in Tirana. Since 2014, she has worked at POLIS University, at the Polytechnic University of Tirana and at the University of Agriculture of Tirana as a researcher and lecturer.
Era Buza is a designer from Prishtina, Kosovo. She finished her studies for Art & Design in Tirana. After graduating from her Bachelor studies in Tirana (2016) for Art & Design, she moved back to her hometown Prishtina and started working as a Graphic Designer in different local design companies and as an outsource freelancer, where she learned and melted the electric styles of Art of the capital in her design style. She has been part of different organizations in her hometown that pushed her to experiment in different fields of art by combining them, Photography, Music & Design all together. She also is part of a team of earnest individuals with diverse experiences who believe in the advancement of the society through culture, education, art and music by sharing mutual cultural values rooted in the collaboration of open minded individuals with the aim of shaping contemporary Kosovo through cultural movements and events.
She moved back to Tirana in 2019 and nowadays she is fully involved in Apparat Studio, a small house of designs and arts which was founded by her and her sister Dea in 2017.
