About the speaker
Frank Gaard is an artist, painter, and teacher responsible for vibrant cartoon-like paintings and causing a ruckus. "Known for his brash personality and his idiosyncratic art practice" (Walker Art Center), Frank has been an important figure in the Minneapolis art scene for over four decades. Taught at MCAD 1969-1987 and published the cult zine, Artpolice, from 1974 to 1994.
