Lost by chance, lost by choice

Find people that you can connect with and that you can reach out to in the creative world in these times.
You just kind of have to go with what happens.
(freelancing) we go up and down in peaks and troughs with our process and with our work, and find ourselves in lots of low points where we lose our sense of identity.
what I sort of found myself getting lost in was taking opportunities as they came because starting out you have to be a yes man.
This was also foundational; Creative Mornings was one of my first things I did when I moved to Edinburgh.
I know there's something here for me, and I'm gonna find it
I feel like I create some of my strongest work when I am at my moodiest, and whenever I'm in my lost points
And sometimes you have to get out in the middle of nowhere to be able to be completely lost in these landscapes, and to create imagery that transports you to places that you can only really dream of.
I had no idea at the time that all of these opportunities would come of it, so you never know what will happen when you find yourself in these times, and if you're able to create in these moments where that's all you can do, you're kind of stripped of everything else you can possibly do, all you can do is kinda resort to what makes sense to you - I think that is the time to, y'know, carpe diem, make it happen.
To actually just get on a bus, get out of town, find these new places; it sounds cliche to say it but you get lost you get found and find yourself when you separate yourself from what you're familiar with
